Every first weekend in April: Trinity Site Tour: Bi-Annual Guided Trinity Site Tour at White Sands Missile Range. Trinity Site via the Stallion Range Center Gate. May 1st - 31st: Hondo Iris Farm: The iris are blooming! Hundreds of spectacular iris are blooming throughout the garden—bearded, spuria, dwarf, variegated.   Free Admission, picnic tables. Every third week/weekend in May: AspenCash Motorcycle Rally: New Owners. New Events. Golden Aspen and AspenCash Motorcycle Rallies are better than ever! Four days of riding, food, music, and fun in the cool pines. Rally begins on Thursday and ends Sunday. Rally is held at the Ruidoso Convention Center 111 Sierra Blanca Dr. Ruidoso, NM. Events in August

First Weekend in August: Old Lincoln Days, Lincoln, New Mexico Street vendors, food, and parade. Activities happen throughout the day. Living History Reenactments: Working blacksmith, an authentic chuck wagon, gun fights, dancing girls. Artisan demonstrations, food and live entertainment, historical lectures, book signings and more... Join us for the "Last Escape of Billy the Kid" folk pageant. The episodes of the pageant are based on historical facts of the notorious Lincoln County War, and in particular its focus is centered upon the best remembered of its fighters, Billy the Kid. Every third week/weekend in Sep: New Owners. New Events. Golden Aspen and AspenCash Motorcycle Rallies are better than ever! Four days of riding, food, music, and fun in the cool pines. Every first weekend in October: 
Aspenfest Parade: Midtown Saturday at 10 am from the corner of Sudderth & Mechem to the 700 block of Sudderth. The Parade is in conjunction with Aspenfest Weekend, which allows residents and visitors alike to participate in the celebration of our caring community, the cool crispness of the coming fall and the beauty that is Ruidoso.

Every second weekend in October: Annual Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium: Each year, during the second full weekend in October, Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico plays host to the nation's finest cowboy festival with old west storytellers, musicians (including the world famous Texas Playboys), western artists and craftsmen for three days of events, cowboy competitions, horse demonstrations, western swing dancing, kids rodeo and educational activities. One of the highlights of the Symposium is the World Championship Chuckwagon Competition (featured on the Food Network's All American Festivals and Cowboy Challenge) with prizes totaling $13,000. Competitors are judged not only on their mouth-watering food, but on the authenticity of their wagons and attire.

Every first weekend in December: Festival of Lights Parade. Beautifully lit and fantastically festive, the Festival of Lights Parade brings friends and family together for an evening of twinkling lights and togetherness in the winter wonderland of Ruidoso. Throughout Midtown Ruidoso, beginning at Mechem and Sudderth and continuing to the Chamber of Commerce. 575-257-7395
