The Lazy Bear Retreat, is a beautiful place to plan your next vacation, whether you are just a couple of newlyweds, or an entire church looking for a large resort style getaway to have a retreat. Everyone and anyone is welcome and will be taken care of with the utmost care. Our three lovely rustic cabins sit on two acres of beautiful mountain terrain at the center of all the amazing activities and adventures that Ruidoso, and it’s neighboring cities have to offer. It is one of the closest rental properties to the mesmerizing Sierra Blanca Mountain (Ski Apache), and about five miles North of Ruidoso.

We have 3 private cabins onsite as well as individual rooms available.   

Geronimo Cabin is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that sleeps 6 with 1,800 square feet of living space and a private deck and wood burning fireplace.

The Billy the Kid Cabin is a tradition Ruidoso style 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin, sleeps 4, featuring a private hot tub, full kitchen and a lovely view of the starry night from its private deck.

The Big Bear Lodge boasts 6 bedrooms and 6 bathroom, sleeps 16, and is perfect for groups with it's wood burning fireplace and hot tub on the patio. Five of the six bedrooms have private patios.
