July 3-4: Staerkel Mountain Annie's: $32.50 for adults (includes dinner, the show, tax and gratuity), $12.00 for ages 7-12, and under 6 are free. Most nights doors open at 6:00 PM, dinner is served promptly at 7:00 PM and the show begins at 8:00 PM. Young children and infants are welcome at the dinner shows, or, to let the parents or grandparents catch a break and watch the featured entertainment, the children may play in a specially designed and well-supervised upstairs playhouse area. July 4: Carrizozo Fireworks Display: Valle Del Sol Gazebo, just east of the Golf Course on Hwy 380, Carrizozo, NM. Bring the whole family down to Carrizozo tonight for a terrific fireworks display over Carrizozo City Lake, courtesy of the Carrizozo Chamber of Commerce, Carrizozo Volunteer Fire Dept and Valle Del Sol. Food, live music, games and family-style entertainment! Festivities start at Noon and Fireworks begin at dusk. July 4: Independence Day Parade and Fireworks Extravaganza: What would Independence Day be without a parade? Parade begins at the corner of Oregon and 10th Street, runs west to New York Avenue, south on New York and ends at the corner of 9th Street. Alamogordo's NM Museum of Space History puts on a terrific fireworks display (weather-permitting) at dusk, parking for fireworks display along Scenic Drive or Indian Wells.
