As an east coast Canadian visiting NM [Ruidoso] for the first time [a few
years ago] , I was extremely impressed. It's been a few years since I've been
there, but I sure hope to be able to visit again in the near future.[now living
in the US] The colours, the people, the different lifestyle...made an indelible
impression on me. What a great site this is....

We're coming all the way from South Texas! We'll be there in mid March for
(hopefully) a great ski week. We've never had the pleasure of visiting your town
or your slopes but I'm really looking forwrd to it!! Your web site has helped
tremendously in finding lodging & making plans!! I've heard that Ski Apache has
something for everyone.I didn't find anything about ski lessons, that would be a
nice thing to add. Keep up the good work, see ya'll in March!

It's been several years since I've been to Ruidoso and the memories of the
beauty still are as sharp as if I were there yesterday. My in-laws are coming
over from England and I am planning on sharing the wondrous beauty and serenity
this coming May. I don't believe the days will pass quickly enough for me until
I'm there.

12-22/24-00 We pulled, a spur-of-the-moment ski trip this year with "zero"
planning. Ski Apache was great! Our youngest was up and skiing in less than 45
minutes! She is a natural. Our oldest got her "ski legs" back in less than 30
minutes! We had a blast. The staff was great and weather could not have been any
nicer! The kids want to return next year...I think we just might do that. See
you next year!

I've been in ruidoso this summer at the cowboy symposium. Now it is nice

12-29-2000 We visited Ruidoso over the Christmas Holiday. While there we
lost our Chinese Shar Pei dog named Nickus. The entire community rallied
together to help us find him. It was one of the most heart warming experiences I
have ever known. We came home with our little Nickus. He was a rescue from the
Humane Shelter in Roswell. We love him dearly and owe a great Thank You to the
visitors and residents of Ruidoso.

We have stayed in Ruidoso three times and just love it. The countryside is
beautiful and the people are friendly and so nice. We love walking through the
lovely shops and our favorite is the Hummingbird, owned and operated by David

I've been going to Ruidoso for 50 years and love it just as much each
time. You need to know something before you stay at the Ruidoso Lodge, however.
My brother who lives in Albuquerque was in Ruidoso a day while we were there due
to his job. I wanted him to come over to the cabin for dinner but was told that
if had him over I would have to leave and forfit the money that we paid for our
3 day stay. I was shocked to say the least, and disappointed.

Your site has triggered memories that go back into the twenties and my
first recollections of Ruidoso. I was raised in Ft. Stanton and Ruidoso was
about the only place to go for excitement. Not much there then, a skating rink
and bowling alley, but it was a nice place to go. I left during WW II but have
returned many times. Have enjoyed each visit and am amazed at how Ruidoso has
grown and how it has managed to remain a wonderful place to live and to visit.

were very nice, comfortable, and quiet. Later camped at Lake Bonito.
Unfortunately the party I was with decided to take a hike and ended up 15 miles
in the wrong direction. The state police called in a great group of rescue
volunteers who found my kids within 45 minutes. They are to be commended for
there rescue efforts. You definately saved the day! Other than that, the trip

My wife and I have enjoyed Ruidoso`s wonderful hospitality at least once a

visited most of the shops and were amazed to find how friendly and helpful the
people were. The area lends itself to relaxation and getting to know each other

I visited Ruidoso last month and I absoulutly hated the road construction.
It took forever!! Other than that, I loved my vacation. My husband and I went to

I was there only once when I lived in Cd. Juarez Mex. where I was studying

want to bring my wife for splendid honeymoon, and in December 2000 is going to
be the right time. I live in Mazatlan, Mexico, place of beaches, sun and a lot
of hot all the year, when I talk with her about Ruidoso she inmediately accept,
this is going to be a whole new complete experience for us, and she really worth

What a mystical place to be! I've spent many Christmas and summer
vacations there while growing up. Wonderful memories were made. From picnics on
the Indian Reservation while trout fishing, bringing in the Christmas tree,
rushing outside in the early mornings to see what animal tracks we could
identify, sliding down the snow covered roads on our red sleds, laying on our
back and looking up at the pine trees that are so tall you can't see the tops, a
warm fireplace, and just the clean, peaceful atmosphere that Ruidoso offers. I
have been drawn to return there since I was a little girl, and can't wait to get
back to that calm that only Ruidoso can bring. For me, it's paradise!
