Wayne Hadley has been painting in oils for many years.  Although he has received training in Basic Design and other art courses, he is primarily self-taught.

His work is modern freestyle abstract.  His present work is characterized by bold strokes in bright colors, but like many artists, he has gone trough various stages.

For instance, he has monochromatic works in various colors as well as intricately patterned multi-colored pieces.  Other paintings have more flowing circular motion that draws the eye to reveal hidden figures which Wayne may not be aware of, but which the beholder interprets for himself.

He tends to get lost in his artistry and at times like that, his creativity and imagination take flight.  In those instances, the observer may catch sight of an expression of Wayne’s spiritual nature or of the observer’s own spiritual awareness.

Throughout his life, Wayne has tended to work in areas that have allowed creative expression.  He has worked as a cartographer, technical illustrator and machine designer.  In most recent years, he has been self-employed as a well-known hard rock water well driller who is capable of finding water when other drillers fail to do so.  This kind of work has allowed him the flexibility to find time for painting.

Wayne is a native of New Mexico.  He has spent the majority of his life on the family farm near Mayhill in the Sacramento Mountains of southern New Mexico.

Try as they may, his family and friends cannot tempt him with tales of their travels.  Wayne knows he lives in his own vision of paradise and can see no need to go seeking it elsewhere.

Wayne is a free spirited artist philosopher.
